A Simple Valentine’s Day Chocolate Making Activity
Valentine’s Day can be a beautiful opportunity to celebrate those we love while creating something meaningful together. This homemade chocolate recipe is simple enough for little hands to help measure, pour, and stir- making it a sweet lesson in both life skills and love.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup melted coconut oil
1 pinch of salt
Combine 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/3 cup powdered sugar, and a pinch of salt. Gently melt 1/3 cup coconut oil (with adult help, if needed) and stir it into the dry ingredients until smooth. Children can practice careful mixing and observe how the ingredients transform from powder to silky chocolate.
For an extra touch, invite your child to choose additions like shredded coconut, chopped nuts, dried fruit, or a swirl of peanut butter.
Pour the mixture into molds or small silicone cups (ice cube tray works well) and place in the refrigerator or freezer to set. This recipe makes a lovely amount to gift to one special person perhaps a neighbor, grandparent, or dear friend.
A simple kitchen lesson becomes a memory of warmth, generosity, and time spent together.
Happy Valentines day 💓
