Simple Color Matching Activity for Toddlers
If you’re looking for an easy, low-prep activity that builds early learning skills, this simple color matching game is a favorite in our home.
Using items you likely already have- shape sorter pieces or toy cars- this activity encourages color recognition, sorting, and hands-on play in a way that feels natural and fun.
What You’ll Need
Shape flashcards (or colored paper/cards)

A flat surface (table or floor)

With cars: Drive each car to the matching color and “park” it on the card
Keep it playful and pressure-free this is all about exploration and learning through play.
