Baby led weaning protein patties

Baby led weaning protein patties If you are practicing the baby led weaning method and are growing exhausted with your baby refusing food and throwing it in the ground this tasty little recipe may work for you!  My son is 9 months old and is learning how to independently eat, I'm constantly worried that he's not getting enough wholesome goodness in his diet. I wanted to try making something PACKED with protein so if he gets even a bite or two down it'll be worth it! This recipe is easy and super tasty (who doesn't end up eating kid scraps, these just happen to be something I legitimately enjoy!)   PROTEIN PATTIES Ingredients: 2 tbs Olive oil  3 tbsBone broth 1/2 package Organic ground turkey  1/2 can Organic unsalted beans (I used salad mix) 1 Organic Avocado Bread crumbs (I grounded up sourdough) 1tsp  turmeric 2 tsp Oregano 1 tsp Pepper 1/4 tsp Seasalt (a pinch) 1 tsp Garlic powder Blend up your beans, avocado and bone broth ( I eyed it so not too much broth just eno

DIY Paper Mache Belly Cast

Image
At the end of pregnancy many women decide to make a cast of their beautiful bellies to have as a keepsake after pregnancy. Almost every belly casting I've ever seen has been made of plaster and there are many brands that make kits but they all look the same. I wanted something different, plus I am too inpatient to get a kit of my own. I decided to try out a paper Mache cast of my bump. A belly cast without plaster? This was so easy and fun to do! *Plus super cheap! I used basic craft paste (lots of recipes online) and strips of tissue paper. If you don't mind getting a little sticky and love arts and crafts give this a try! Have fun thinking outside the box!  Directions:  1.Wrap your belly (and boobies if you so choose)  gently with saran wrap.  *You could do this with a shirt on or off since the paste will wash right off. I chose to do it shirtless so saran wrap would 'stick' better. 2. Rip up or cut about 10-15 pieces of tissue paper into long strips.  * You can choos

DIY Closet Baby Nursery

Hey all! Looking online for baby nursery inspiration pointed me in the direction of small space storage solutions. I've found a common theme- babies don't require much space let alone a whole bedroom! Using a small space like a walk in closet makes the perfect smart solution for maximizing your homes space! My husband and I live in a small home in northern California with a master bed/bath and- you guessed it, a walk in closet! We've decided to make a little space work for our little one. Work with what you have and have fun doing it! Babies really don't need much space and will love anything cozy! Have fun- be creative, and think outside the box!  Here's some space solving /decorating Ideas to help point you in the right direction: 1. Hanging fabric shelves for clothes and 'shoes'. Work with your closet rods!  2. A small dresser or cube storage organizer for a diaper changing station. We use a KALLAX cube from IKEA (only 40 $!) 3. Storage boxes, buckets, to
